Sadie Hale was a national semifinalist on “The Voice.” On Saturday, she died from complications from pneumonia. Hale is 13 years old. She was a then-newly single teenage mom from Texas.

Martha Coolant was a competing contestant on season 3 of “The Voice” that was also killed in a car crash early Sunday morning in Indiana. The boy she was driving with has been hospitalized and it’s unclear how serious his injuries are. Her hearing aid, cell phone and purse were still on the passenger seat.

Money Grabbing Students

The “Saturday Night Live” house band’s members are making their paychecks go farther by going door-to-door in California, collecting contributions to purchase a sound system and a video camera for a junior high school. The musicians wanted to help a classmate in need.

Five students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School are planning on seeking $1 million in lawsuits against George and Amal Clooney for allegedly not heeding a state shooting ban. The students have also reportedly developed their own anthem called “You’ve Already Won” which they hope will be a hit in the upcoming school year. Students who want to go to college apparently have to pay for it.
