The Morecambe Amateur Football Club office was transformed into a fur realist scene for Ron Evans’ penultimate chapter of his campaign to make a pilgrimage to St Peter’s Church in Bosworth, Leicestershire.
Evans, a master of the half pipe plants (long plastic pipes with a scroll on top of them to give them an unmistakable look) has discovered St Peter’s Church needs a special Christmas pot as several pipe plants have been damaged from water damage.
After seeing a piece of tinsel blow off one of St Peter’s own pipes, Evans decided the Christmas tree he planned to carry across the church to help him complete his pilgrimage was a foolish idea, so he and his photographer daughter Kristine of Swansea took photos of the pipe plant as it stood in the churchyard before changing into Evans’ shoes, coat and gloves.
The rest of the pictures feature Evans standing on the altar at St Peter’s Church, one of the pictures which are reproduced on the back of this webpage. Evans, who will be wrapping up his pilgrimage before Christmas Eve, said he was delighted with the atmosphere of the church.
